The Cost Of Learning To Fly

The First thing you will want to consider is the Cost of Learning To Fly. There are many different options out there that can help you save money besides traditional flight schools.

The First thing I tell my students is to plan about $7,500 - $8,500. Now the prices you will find at flight schools will be competitive so you want to research your options before you start your training. There is a difference between the cost estimate a flight school will give you and the actual amount you will end up spending.

There are many different phases in the process of learning to fly and I have all of this broken down in detail for you. If you have been looking around at flight schools you will find that there are a lot of things that aren't included in their cost estimates and they are based on the unrealistic FAA minimums. The national average for the Private Pilot License is about 65 - 70 hours. Most flight schools will base their cost estimates on these unrealistic numbers to stay competitive.
